Flynn's "Fancy" Saltine Crackers are a consumable item found inside the NEO Scavanger universe. They are an item that can be consumed to restore hunger, but can slightly lower hydration. They can be found commonly, usually inside abandoned office buildings and shacks, and can also be found by killing looters, bandits or raiders. They have a grid area of 1x1, and only four packets of crackers can be stacked at a time.
A well-packaged saltine will last forever if you don't mind them consisting of more crumbs than cracker. These never degrade in game, which makes them a reliable store of nutrition, although their lack of stacking makes storage difficult. Four packets of crackers have the nutritional content of one can of soup, while eight packets will dehydrate the same amount restored by bottle of water.
Because of its extremely light weight, crackers offer the greatest nutrition provided per kilogram, making them an excellent source of food for those who wish to avoid becoming overburdened. However, they cannot be purchased in bulk and they do not stack as well as Gelli Bears or Ketchup, limiting this functionality.
One cracker packet provides 1 point (~0.6%) of nutrition and removes 0.5 (~0.7%) points of hydration.
