A Rifle scope, 2x-7x optical is an optional accessory for a .308 hunting rifle.
It provides optical zoom status, extending character's range of vision, within line of sight, by one hex whenever a rifle with a scope or a scope itself is equipped into a hand slot.
The scope can also be attached to a simple strap and worn on the neck. This way, the character can still benefit from the vision range boost while freeing a hand. It goes over a necklace so it is not necessary to remove any worn jewelery to use it that way.
