A handful of potato chips is a food item that can be found during scavenging, always stored inside the "Wavs" potato chip bags. There are always exactly two handfuls in each bag and it is not possible to find them without their original packing.
Even though extremely old, the chips were vacuum-sealed inside the tin foil bag the whole time, and so are perfectly safe to eat.
Eating a handful of chips is only minimally nourishing (about equal to one portion of Berries and rises the character's thirst by a small amount, so it is better for players to make sure they have something to drink, if they are planning to feed their character on the chips.
