The FJV "Copperbook" Laptop is the most complex electronic device to be found among the ruins of Michigan.
A laptop is, for two reasons, a primary tool for any self-respecting hacker. First, they are very easy to crack themselves, requiring nothing more than hacking ability to be unlocked. Second, their superior processing power allows them to run the cracking software used to unlock other devices. This makes a laptop the device of choice for any tech-head hoping to dig into others' data files, whether he's looking for valuable private information or simply trying to figure out what happened to the world (or wishing to ease his misery by looking at the pictures of funny cats).
Laptops do have some drawbacks – they are quite large and heavy, compared to handheld devices, but can be closed (via right-click context menu) to save the space when not in use. Their power consumption is also high, as they require 60 electric charges per hour (turn) of use. Fortunately, laptop batteries have the greatest capacity of all available batteries, with storage for up to 240 charges.
